  “Hansen's moved my mother, and years later I had them move me too as I had remembered how GREAT they were and professional with my mom's stuff.
  They worked very hard for her and then later for me as well. I had special requests and needs with my unique situation, different destinations and such, and it was not an issue.
  I am very happy with the service I received, and continue to receive as I have a few items in storage with them.”

  “Years ago, when I was a single mother on a very tight budget, I hired Hansen's to move my small amount of furniture across town. The movers loaded up my furniture and, unbeknownst to them, I followed behind in my car. Just one block away, they pulled into a convenience store parking lot and parked the van. I waited behind them, thinking they were going to run in and purchase something.I waited and waited. Finally, I got out of my car and surprised them by appearing at the driver's window. I asked what they were doing. They were eating sandwiches! I told them I was paying by the hour and could not afford to pay for them to park and eat lunch & did not think it was fair. In a hostile tone, the driver said, Lady, don't you get a lunch hour? I stated that they could eat after they dropped off my furniture, probably a 45 min job. If they were starving, they should have eaten before they knocked on my door. They were furious (that I caught them) and refused any further communication, just rolled up the window. I got back in my car and waited and waited. When they finally drove off to my new apt. and unloaded, they charged me for the time spent eating their lunch. I told them they needed to make an adjustment in the time. They refused. I asked to speak to their employer. One of them phoned the owner,then hung up the phone and ordered the other mover to load my furniture back into the van because he had been told by the owner to confiscate it. I had no choice but to pay the inflated price. I still see this van driving around town and am horrified that they are still in business.”

  “I can't warn you enough DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! My parents are elderly and moved to Japan. They decided to use Hansen's to both move and store their stuff. They were given an estimate of $1,500 and were charged nearly $3,000. They went ahead and paid it but when they had questions a year later about moving their stuff out, they received horrible customer service. The lady was rude to them and when I called to get answers as to how to get their stuff out (the lady never answered their questions) I was met with both hostility and rudeness, as if my phone call was an inconvenience to them and my questions were not worth answering. We finally got a date for delivery. They reschedule us and then showed up hours late. When I called to ask if this was normal procedure, the woman told me she would get our stuff when she had enough people and time. It was extremely unprofessional. They act as though they hold your stuff hostage and are the rudest people no matter how polite you try to be. I have never, in all my years of dealing with businesses, come across this sort of service. Feel free to call them and see for yourself. They are impolite to everyone, so at least they don't discriminate. Many people warned us not to use them and I wish my parents would have listened.Also, if you try to use a credit card to pay for their fees (which will go over their estimate) they will charge you 4% extra for the inconvenience.”
